i have gotten phantasmal armors and jade gorgets also many ritualist items but have not found an assasin weapon yet, its nothing special, very easy to get and doesnt take long, i also got a grawl elementalist gear, but i have never seen a grawl elementalist.

Actually of course you've got the I think Grawls that use a bit of lightning...or is it Fire? Hells I don't know lol. But I've gotten the Grawl Elm tos

there are a lot more "discontinued" and "rare" armor types that only get dropped by chests like HoH chest and the frozen chest in dreadnoughts. I used to run up there once and a while and collect all the cool names

They salvage into dust using a normal salvage kit, and into normal runes using expert, nothing special.

I think we have already covered what it salvages into. Thats not the point. The point is the rarity of the name. So has anyone got a jade gorget with a SS?

Use an Expert Salvage kit on it to get the rune BEFORE using id. You will risk losing the rune if you id then salvage.

Theres a Lost Strongbox in ice floe aswell i think

No he won't. Since the one of the updates, the devs made it so you can salvage runes with a 100% rate no matter if you ID it or not.

Thats the one outside THK.. as stated above...

Someone said earlier that there is also a Lost SB in dreads drift... is that near the frozen chest or further on in that direction?

No, you don't. They fixed it a while back. The only way to mess it up is if you use a regular salvage. The order doesn't matter.

I got both a jade gorget and a phantasmal armor doing the Killroy Stonekin quest yesterday, came out of the unlocked chests in the quest.

Dread is supposed to mean Dreadnoughts...the zone those frozen and lost chests are in.

I think that is on ly the case with monster armor. I salvaged my monk's old armor last week ago and it gave me a few bits of parchment. Kinda pissed me off since I have done that a thousand times and ALWAYS gotten my rune back, but then I realized that the parchment was worth more than the crappy minor rune. Happy again
